Unicode Camgirl

Unicode Camgirl explores surveillance and anonymous intimacy in a world that never stops watching. It invites participants to reclaim the gaze through encrypted exhibitionism - exposing themselves without revealing themselves. The installation was first exhibited at Borderland Festival 2025 and continues to appear at raves and events.

What is Unicode Camgirl?

Unicode Camgirl is an ongoing encrypted performance installation exploring surveillance and anonymous intimacy in a world that never stops watching. Born from a technical experiment converting pixels to Unicode in real-time, it became a ritual of reclaiming the gaze through encrypted exhibitionism - first exhibited as a secret booth at Borderland Festival 2025, then appearing at Stockholm raves, and continuing to resurface wherever the transmission is needed. The camgirl is a decentralized identity embodied by whoever steps in front of the camera - she's no one and everyone, visible but unreadable, exposing herself without revealing herself, reversing the extraction economy of platforms that profit from sexual expression while policing it.
